Lightweight Bass options

I have one of those and it's the lightest bass I've ever held. It doesn't seem to have any mass at all, but still sounds great.:bassist:

I have one too. great bass. Nice to have decent lefty basses in that pricerange.
Not a huge fan of those Elixirs though they seem to peel out of their "ultra hi-fi" coating. going to get some low-riders to replace them.

Davo,
Beautiful bass, May I ask what something of that nature costs?

Base prices are on the site.

I play a 7-string from another of the "organic design" luthiers, Mark Eshenbaugh, and it weights almost precisely 6.5 lbs (my Conklin GT7 weighs double that, for sake of contrast).

I had a 6-string Soundgear from '91 or so a while back that was absurdly light, as have been nearly all the Fender Aerodynes I've played.
