New Acoustic B600H's and B810's at GC's Now!!!

Bassmore, what are your initial impressions of the B600H? I was getting ready to buy a B200H, should I just jump right up to the 600?
I don't see them on their website yet, what are they getting for the head?

Firstly, I'm Freakin' Lovin' It!
It's more amp than I think I'll ever need but you know what "they say" about headroom.
The B600H head goes for $499.99 (450W RMS at 4 Ohms, 600W RMS at 2 Ohms). It will work fine with my B115 and B410 stack, that would be the 450W RMS scenario, although I think I might "pass through" my B115 and attached the 8 OHM cab portion of my ACC Model 126 for grins My guess is that would put me around 515W RMS at 3.25 OHMS or something? But who cares at that point? I'm still keeping my B200H so that I can play around with "stereo amping" with the two heads. I love the EQ and "Notch" filter knob on these things. The B200H is still everything I need it to be. Serious "70's Tonal Flashback" with these things and that's what I was looking for even though I didn't know it at the time. The B200H just kinda knocked me down one day as I was casually checking out bass amps. Oh, and although the manual and current literature on the B600H indicates that the lower two EQ knobs are centered at 63 and 150 Hz, I think, they are not... Look closely at the picture in the manual...they go Lower! The B600H lowest EQ is centered at 40 Hz , the next one is at 120 Hz, then they follow the same centered frequencies as the B200H at 350, 800, 2kHz and 5kHz. Hmmm, sounds like someone was thinkin' Low B! But, what do I know? I think the B810 cab goes for $599.99 and is rated at 800 Watts at 4 OHMs so if you really want to get psycho you could get 2 of them to get the full 600W RMS out of the B600H head. I didn't try that out while I was there. From what I have read, the B810 is not just 2 x B410's stuck together just to look cool, they are more like 4 x 210's, if you will and are their own design (in the USA btw). And yes, they Do Look Cool in person, both the new B600H and B810 sport a (what I call Sky Blue) blue that is a direct match IMO to the old school original Acoustic Control Corp. blue. It goes very well with my vintage ACC Model 126 and does not clash (for those who are picky on aesthetics) with the B200H, B410 and B115 blues. As for how do they sound?
I'm absolutley diggin' it but as always I recommend you go in yourself, with your own ears, your own axe, and give them a serious try.

Great head, but twice the cost of the B200H......so you've got to decide if you need the extra power, and are fine with the B200...
I'm not too great at photography. The Base horizontal rig is the ACC Model 126, then on top of it is the new B115, then on top of that is the new B410, the bottom head, vertical to the right is the brand new B600H! and on top of it is the new B200H. Enjoy!

My friend just bought the new accoustic 810 and the b600 head tonight, I am going to go over tomorrow to rock out on it. I will let you all know what I think.
The guy in business casual throwing down reggae grooves *LOUD* at the GC on Van Ness at lunchtime today was me. Acoustic B600H and B810. I had never played through an 810 before. Wow - loud. Tone was fine. LOUD!

I'll be passing through Cedar Rapids tomorrow so I may be stopping at the Guitar Center to see if they have it on display. I haven't played through the B200 stack either (410 + 115) so hopefully that's up too. There seems to be a reasonable amount of hype over Acoustic's cabs, heads, and combos.
Just traded up my B200 combo, had it less than 30 days so no sweat there.
Still have my B200H.
I see conflicting comments that it will/will not do 2ohms.
Can ahybody confirm or deny. books seems to hint yes but maybe no as well?

The B200H produces 200 watts RMS into a 4 ohm load. That is the minimum, there is a typo in the owner's manual indicating that the B200H produces 200 watts @ 2 ohms. That is incorrect.
The B600H produces 600 watts RMS into a 2 ohm load. It is 2 ohm stable.

At 4 ohms we are at 450w for the B600H. At 8 ohms its about 275w.

Anyone have sound clips of the B200 or 600 head? Are they spot on with the vintage Acoustic tone?
When will someone fix this false, misleading information? It should only take a few minutes to correct the website. Printing new manuals is another story. Why not offer 4 ohm cabs and make more of the specs available to the public. Like what speakers are in there. 10" what model? What are the cabs made out of? Plywood? Amp is called a B600H, so it needs four Acoustic cabs for full output. I might consider two good cabs at 4 ohms, like Avatar, instead of lugging four Acoustic cabs.
The B810 is 4 ohms so you would need only two of those to get max power out of the B600H or full power out of the B200H. I agree though, they should be making the other cabs at 4 ohms as well.
