devi ever Karaoke Party mini review w' clips

Review: a wonderful OD with more output volume then you will ever find a use for, has the perfect breakup envelope for that old school fuzzy to farty sound. No low loss.

It can take any fuzz pedal in front of it and it will not crap out!

This is not a high gain OD, this will not do the fried amp sound, it is not a TS.

If I didn't want a clean amp for my effects and stuff, I'd probably get a Sunn or 400+... :D

The sunn yes I got for a dirt amp but the 400+ is a supper clean amp and is cleaner then a lot of SS amps out there, and even though it has a nice sound when driven I always set it clean and use dirt pedals. If you think tube amps are for dirt only can't but as clean as SS then you have a lot to learn;)

No, I definitely don't take tube amps only for dirt... I know the 400+ has a nice clean sound but I prefer its dirt from its clean. My Mesa M6 is a hybird amp and it's the cleanest amp I've ever heard.

It's funny but really don't like the dirty sound of most tube bass amps:hmm: including my 400+ and SVT, go figure. Best overdriven sound I even got was running a bass through a Marshall JCM 800, which when I really think about it gives my plexi gas............

Have you tried the Catalinbread DLS or the MI Audio Crunchbox? Because, I'm in the same boat with the best distortion I've gotten being a JCM 800 and I want something to cop that tone in a pedal.

Nope I haven't. I got real close with a HAO Rust Ride but it isn't bassy enough for the live sound I like. I'm getting really good results with the HAO Rumble mod but that isn't a inexpensive pedal at all.

The closest I got was with a marshall DRP-1 in a looper to turn it on and off, but it was too much trouble and the jacks and pots weren't the greatest [what is it with Marshall the crappy pots?] None the less it really is a crime that Marshall didn't make that thing into a pedal because it sounded great but the idea behind having it as a pre-amp box wasn't the greatest, I think if they had made it as a pedal it would still be in production and selling.
