Details

I'm selling this bass, my much-loved Pedulla ET-6 Thunderbass. I am the original owner, purchased at Guitar Center on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. It has black hardware rather than gold (my preference), the Thunderguts boost switch which kicks up the freqs, and the original 3-knob setup (vol, pan, tone) and Bartolini soapbars.

The top is zebrawood, the back is subtle-to-moderate flamed maple (see pics), with the neck-thru maple and bubinga. The neck also has stiffening rods along with the standard trussrod, and I've never had to adjust it at all...it's very stable.

Sorry about the yellow tint to the pic...this camera stinks sometimes.

The bass has normal wear: tiny smudge over the neck pup from years of my thumb being planted there, a few tiny dents in spots, etc. All in all, it's in great condition and I will be polishing it up with Pedulla's bass care stuff. For now, I'm just posting this to see if there is interest in a bass like this. Oh yes, it would include the original hardcase that is rugged and travel-worthy (and scratched from normal use)

My asking price would be $1,800 or best offer shipped to the US, and this bass is worth every penny IMO. If you're in Canada I'll ship to you, but you've got to be willing to kick in for the extra shipping and to take responsibility for customs duties and such. I'd prefer a US Post Office money order, though Paypal is cool if we could come to a compromise on the fees. Feel free to pm or email me with questions.

String spacing on ET basses from this era was 17.5mm unless it was a special order. From the looks of the bridge it's 17.5mm.
Looks very nice. I used to own a 94' 5 string version and it's a great bass.
Good luck with the sale!

String spacing? Scale length?

Probably should have listed that, or at least the link to the info.

If it's like my 1996 ET-5, the spacing is adjustable and the scale length is 34"

Yup, there you go...

These are amazing players. I had a 5er for a while, and it was almost effortless to play. Good luck with the sale!

That's pretty light for a sixer! How is the balance?

Also, according to their website, the Thunderbass is available in 17.5mm and 19mm string spacing. :) I know you guys said it's adjustable, but which version is this one?

I'm going to get it out and get on the scale with it, then without to try to confirm it, but it's always been a nice and light bass. The way they contour the neck and body does an excellent job of making it easy on the back. I'll also double check the string spacing, but 19mm seems a bit wide. 17.5 has got to be right, but I'll check it this evening.

Also, do you have the Pedulla truss rod wrench?

Definitely: original truss rod wrench and original case.
