I'm selling a 90's era Danelectro DC bass. I don't know the exact year as I'm not the original owner. It has the silver sparkle finish. The rosewood saddle bridge has been replaced with the adjustable bridge that came on the DC Pro basses. The original bridge will be included. There's some chipped paint on the bottom of the bass on the back side. I'm guessing the previous owner dropped it. There a faint hairline crack in the white formica of the pickguard. It's hard to see but I'll do my best to get a good picture of it. Other than that the bass is pretty good. It definitely has that classic Dano sound. As much as I love this bass, it being my first bass, I've stopped using it since I got my G&L L2500. I'll get some pictures up soon.

I'm asking $300 plus shipping.

I have one in the same finish from the same era that I bought when it first came out. I also owned an original Danelectro longhorn in 1961-my first bass. The re-issues are actually made better than the originals were. They still get that Danelectro sound. The fact that the DC is a regular 34" scale length gives it a better sound in my opinion than the original Danelectros which were all shorter scale.

Good luck with the sale. Those instruments are getting hard to find. Definitely a lot of fun to play. They sound great with flatwounds. The original Danelectros actually came with rounds.

Here are pictures of the damage. The first picture is the chipped paint on the bottom of the bass on the back side. It's been there since I bought the bass 6 years ago and hasn't gotten any worse. The second picture shows the hairline crack on the pickguard. It is very faint, and hard to take a good picture of.

In person the finish is a bit darker and more dramatic than the photo would suggest.

Another plus for this bass-it is as light as a feather. Balances well on a strap.

I use Thomastic flats on mine. Wonderful and unique sound.
