cant change sig

when I try and change my sig I get "BB code url not allowed"
and in the sig permissions everything is listed as "no"

You need to be a supporting member to get usage of BB code in your sig

I'm having the same problem. When I joined TB a few months ago, I added a link to my blog in my sig. Now I'm trying to change it and it won't allow me -- I'm getting the same message about BB code URL not allowed. I wasn't a supporting member when I joined -- have the rules changed?

Yes, the rules have changed recently in this regard. Links in sigs were being used for commercial/ gear FS purposes by non supporting members, and the decision was made to disable the code for this group to make the sitewide policy more consistent. Sorry for the inconvenience.

this really sucks for those not using for non commercial purpose! now if i want to promote my band so that other tb'ers can hear it, i cant do it and 20 US $ for in this part of the world means money i make in a week or two

no, you can still have a text link in your sig - just not a clickable link.
