H=8, but I forget what year Tacoma started using the letter year date... H is 8, for the 8th year. I think it is '04? Could be a pre-Fender is it is...

According to this, it was made on the 259th day of 2004, has offset soundhole, 11 guitars were finished that day, and the neck is original.

please note there is a VERY MINOR pinhole indentation in the top as shown, barely noticable. The case is in very good shape, just a minor skuffmark.

I have a fretless version of this bass, strung with black nylon tapewounds. Wonderful tone! Sounds like an upright, especially amplified. Looks like this one is in great condition.

re: above 2 questions, i have not experienced neck dive, using a normal bass strap (wide). however i do play an acoustic bass up higher on my chest than my electric solid bodies. And yes, in my opinion this is one loud abg, however other users of the Thunderchief may wish to comment on its unamplified acoustic properties.
