For Sale is my Zon Custom 5 - Quilted/Spalted top

A little backstory: I bought this from a fellow TB'er back in 07 (i think). It's been kept in case at all times and treated like my baby. It's since been setup and been preserved in excellent condition. This is heartbreaking for me, and unfortunately a common story here, but I got laid off back in 09 and took up tutoring to pay bills and now... Tax time.... Believe me, this kills me to sell a bass I hoped to grow old with.. :crying:

FOR SALE ONLY. Here's what you get EXTRA. (ONLY IF YOU PURCHASE BY FRIDAY APRIL 9). Otherwise, just selling the parts separately.
Hopefully this sweetens the deal:
  • Zon Bass (excellent condition)
  • Protec gig bag (great condition)
  • Strung with TI Jazz Flats (very beautifully broken in)
  • Medium Comfort Strapp (excellent condition)
  • 21" Monster Bass 'Straight-Angled' cable (great condition)
  • 12" Monster Bass 'straight-straight' cable (great condition)
  • Ernie Ball Slinky 5 Roundwound strings (new)

$1700 + shipping

*There are a few minor nicks here n there (less than 5 to my eye) from use, but none are in the wood, just on the finish. There is also a small chip on the headstock which was there when i purchased it. The bass plays smoothly, intonation is perfect, and is really a dream to play on.:bassist:

I once saw the Galactic Cowboys in Austin TX and he was using a Zon and it cut like a razor...I was impressed...don't see them too often, very pretty bass.

Sorry you have to part with it. He bought it from me, and it's a nice bass for sure. I had no idea it had a truss rod.
