Too poor for either,just going to be a parts bass. Found a cheap body on ebay thats already in green burst and has a large square routed for the pickup. Doubt it's deep enough but I'll do modding to the body and parts as I go. It's going to be able while until everything gets together..I just want this bass!

This is my attempt to find the "one". This is pretty much a combo of everything that turns me on,in a bass. I'm thinking black hardware too.

Well, as much as I'd love to do the darkstar, it seems realistically I dont have the money to buy the pickup and then have a body routed out for the pickup, I also don't have the tools nor the skill to do it myself,so I've just decided to just SPB-3 basslines for it. Which is "close enough". The pickup selection was only a fraction of the reason for wanting to build this bass and I'll be happy with either one. On a good note,just found all the parts I'm going to buy for this and it's only going to cost me 295 dollars to build this bass. Minus the paint. Which I'm going with a candy apple green and black.

Well finally got around to getting some materials for this. Went and got some paint,primer,and paint stripper,the body is soaking stripper right now. These are the two colors I bought.

Well I've already got a problem. Applied the stripper to the back and for some reason...only in one area..it went all the way down to the clear undercoat..only in a small spot. I know if I prime this you'll still see the line. What can I do to smooth this out?
