"All Blues" (Miles Davis)
So, Jerry, I'm trying to work my way up to playing over your "Days Of Wine And Roses" loop. I broke out my Real Book the other night, but that tune is not in there! I'm sure I have it in another book, but in the meantime... I wanted to work on playing over some changes. I really suck at that, and the only way to get better is to do it, right? So I decided to lay down my take on Miles Davis's "All Blues". I'm pretty pleased. I'm not blazing any trails for sure, but I did effectively address the changes with an ultra simple solo.
I do have one question on this tune if ya'll are feeling froggy. When I listen to the Miles original, on the first verse I hear the bass staying on the I when the melody obviously goes to the IV. Is that how you guys hear it, too?
Fifth bar....do you go to C7, or do you play Gm6? The answer, for me, is always...."whatever the piano player says." 
Generally that's C7, with reference toward Gm6 during the solos.
