Should i get a peddle

I'm new to bass and a play a lot of grunge is it worth getting a peddle?

Digitech makes some Grunge pedals you can peddle something for.

LOL: I had that when It first came out... literally mail order from Musician's Friend .

I was in a band with only one guitar, playing rock/alt/heavy stuff and when Mr "I love to lean back, shake my long hair, I'm Zack from Ozzy's band" guitar player did his solo thing [EVERY time ] the song kind of died without a rhythm guitar... The idea was to sound like a bass + distorted guitar... It kind of worked.

IIRC: careful and prudent settings were required to keep it from sounding real stupid / cheap. The battery cover broke straight away. Around 6 months the switch got sketch (I was definitely "Stomping" it) and if the battery died all sound died with it (No bypass I guess?)

If you can find one CHEAP I guess worth a try if your going for that bass + distorted guitar sound.
