It's not only a matter of a string, but bridge and pickups as well. I don't want to change them and then be surprised if it works or not the way I want. I rather sell the instrument which serves me well and search for a more suitable one.

It seems that I have no other option than to sell the Ibanez since I don't really want to make this kind of radical modifications. I must say though that it's really reliable bass and i love the neck, it's clear to me now that it is not that kind of bass for this trash. What bass do you guys...

Even .145 did not make it through the saddle. Ibanez SR505 kinda sux in this way. I don't know what to do really.

Kalium strings looks great, but since I live outside USA it is a bit expensive for me to change them regulary or buy a few at once - therefore it's my last chance. I'm curious if there is some other way how to deal with F♯ tuning on bass? I was teoretically thinking about transpositioning some...

You mean playing bass separate from PA through amp and jam track (+ probably guitar) through PA?

I must say that I'm interested in Gallien Krueger MB-112 because it's much cheaper. But it's really as good as the other stuff?
