    Double Bass Walking ahead or on top of the beat

    When you feel you may be rushing or a bit on top of the beat try moving your right hand a little further ( 3 or 4 inches) back and away from the end of the finger board. There is less tension in the string when you do this and less tension in your hand, it gives you a little slower release. Tom
