I've come to my conclusion .... I'm an electric player.. Always will be... I love jazz and that sound. But trying to recreate that in my instrument will only make me grow as a musician and maybe something new will Come from that . Thank you all for your words . And advice helping me come to that...

Thanks for all the responses. But there definitely is a certain sound and timbre that an upright has that an electric just can't recreate. Of Course you can get close with electric ... But it's not the same. I'm for electric bass all the way. Bit you gotta call a spade a spade. And I do...
