I have small hands and am a guitar player, new to bass. I'm finding the strings that came on my Longhorn are a little thick to maneuver. Also looking to dial in this type of sound, and was told I could get it by experimenting with strings: Any recommendations? Type and gauge, etc. Thank you.

Thanks everyone. I'll experiment with strings and see if I can dial in the sound I want. I do really love the Danelectro's form factor (and vibe.) If not I might try the Ibanez Mikro as it is very cheap and supposedly super easy to play. I'm a guitar player, not a bass player, just learning...
