    well i just been listening to chas from chas n dave on the radio , he bought one of the first bass guitars available in the uk in the late 1950's , he goes on to say he only ever changed the strings once, , in 1964 , and its still has those strings on it and he still plays it :eek:

    i just stated to learn bass , and putting my thumb on top of the pu'p seems a bit high , thought a thumbrest like i see in old adds on Pbass's would be a good idea , what say you guys ?

    i went on the bay and could'nt find hardly any for a short scale 30" , the ones i did find cost a bleddy fortune, in the uk . cheapest set £25 ,,,eeeek:confused: dunno what that it in us bucks $35 prolly , is that normal for ss bass strings ???

    hi all , i just bought a new bass guitar , short scale stagg , dont know how to play one yet but im sure i will work it out with help from here, i do lay 6 string guitar a bit so hope it will make sence on the bass too , anyways hi from the Uk , sun is shinning to :) aardys
