    Shouldn't Monitors be as loud onstage as the PA is out front?

    The monitors should be at a level that gives you all the inform you need. I realized that some sound engineers were running the guitar and bass through my monitor as well as my vocals. I always make sure to tell sound that I don’t need anyone else in my monitor besides vocals and kick drum .
