Does anyone know what a set of 1964 Fender Pre CBS P Bass Pickups would be worth? I was given the bass, but the body and neck were mutilated. They sound great too. I have the other electronics and knobs as well, all original to the same bass. Thanks in advance!

yeah, its rosewood. somebody put polyurethane on the fretboard and thats why it looks so dark :crying::crying:

The headstock has been reshaped as well. i’m not sure if this would make you change your mind

forgot to clarify, when i got it it was stripped to wood, but i could tell under the neck pocket and under the bridge that the original finish was candy apple red. therefore i refinished it with the same color, with vintage lacquer, in vintage spec

i’ll give you the info on the J - don’t worry, it was sanded down to wood before i got it. i’m not devaluing it anymore by spraying a finish on it. it’s still a work in progress i only have 1 picture but here it is. obviously the bass in between the two 6 string piccolo basses. 😁

I recently was given two basses. One was a 1964 jazz bass in candy apple red, that is in the process of being restored. However, i also received a 1964 P bass in rough shape. Its horns were cut off, someone brushed polyurethane or something on the body, neck, and fretboard, and it’s ugly right...
