    Scales Necessary?

    The meat and potatoes of playing any instrument is being good at scales. Not only will it help you understand where all the notes lie on the fretboard, but it will also help your ability to play runs. Knowing where each scale tone is will greatly help your ability to play 8th or 16th note runs...
