    I find this post to be very interesting. I prefer the full range meaning 24 frets but, I’ll play any size bass. 24 frets is like a security blanket.

    It depends upon your sound or a sound you are searching for. Their are a lot of good pickups on the market. I prefer EMGs. It can be reduced to personal preference.

    I recommend a bass multi effects pedal. Boss has several good ones. This way you only have to buy one pedal to get your desired results.

    Buying a bass to be shipped from Spain to me in US - good or bad idea?

    The best bass I own was shipped from Indonesia. Not well publicized but, a lot of bass manufacturers have moved part of their operation outside of the US for cheaper labor. Most music stores don’t advertise the country of origin. In 2021, shipping a bass is not an issue.

    Hollow body bass

    I recently purchased a Schecter Corsair semi hollow body bass made in Indonesia. This is an outstanding bass with solid construction. I bought it for the light weight. I was pleasantly surprised with the tone, quality components, and playability. I highly recommend this bass.
