I wanted to be sure not to call it darker. I have heard that about it and that was my hesitation going into it. For me it just means the highs don’t get as glassy as some amps can.

Good to hear. I don’t need the boost pedal with the TT800 like I did on the D800+. Does the TT800 high/low input gain switch still function the same if I run either the Plus preamp or the 800+amp into the effects return? Would I need to bring that boost back?
