Hi! Just took delivery from Thomas today exactly that bass😀can I ask you if you pull the volume knob to passive mode do the volume knob feel very easy to turn? Mine almost have non resistance feel very light to turn. I you have time to check i would be grateful.

Yes on every string but with a lot lesser sustain or more muted sound

Since i got the bass i tried about 4 sets of strings.

I don’t think so. I have intonated the bass numerous time and when I compared open string with fretted notes at 12 fret the bass is perfectly intonated.

Yes I tune down the string before moving the saddle. The tones are not out of pitch/tune when fretting past 15 fret the tone just pulsing a bit. And it mostly on g string I can hear it.

When I play by the head stock every thing sounds ok. The warbling starts by 14-15 fret

Ok I understand. The problem is that if I play any note past the 15 fret I can hear the beating and that’s most likely string pulling from the pickups but what I don’t understand is even if I adjust the pickups as low they can go so the clearance is 5-6mm it don’t help!

Nope it’s not sharp it’s in tune.

The problem is that when I play any note past 15 fret there is a beating and yes I believe it’s string pulling from the pickups but I tried to lower the pickups as low as possible about 5-6mm clearance when fretting at the last fret. And to be honest I wold not won’t to have the pickups past 4mm
