I did a bit of searching but didn't immediately see something covers this, so... I've been basically dicking around with bass for about 20 years, since I picked it up in high school. Back then I tried to learn a lot of hard rock songs, played with a guitarist friend, and took a few lessons...

I believe Gabriel played on Voices and the latest Truth of Touch. I saw them live a couple of months ago and believe he was in that show too. He's good, but he's not Ric Fierabracci. Ric is f'ing awesome.

First off, the question and commentary here got me to register for the forum. So here I am. Thanks. The D in question is definitely low. I'm annoyed by the quick bass tabs online that don't show this or at least mention they've been modified for ease of play with standard 4-string tuning...
