    Dr. Fong Speaker Works recollections

I actually took a shot - this was before GPS, cell phones (well, in my house at least) and obviously vehicle WiFi, and I tried to find the good Dr. With nothing more than a paper map and maybe a Guitar Player magazine with an address; on the way home from vacation, late in the afternoon... I had...

    Jaco Gear Article

So there is an interview on the "Jaco" site between his son and Larry Hartke of aluminum speaker cone fame, and they reference the Guild/Hartke & Pilot Bass Ad. Johnny stated "Actually, I was always a little confused when I saw that ad with my Dad holding a Guild bass." and asked "He was playing...

    Jaco Gear Article

Guild had really bad luck endorsing artists. Simple question difficulty finding the answer

Anybody with a real answer? There is a lot of myth and misinformation about DeArmond. Some people say the Set Neck Guitars have US made DeArmond PUs - this would mean they are Fender since Fender bought DeArmond before they bought Guild (and started making DeArmond guitars). There is no EMG logo...

    Guild Pilot bass club?

Wow, this Club? started on my 50th birthday. I saw a DeArmond post, so I hope I am excepted. I have several Guild guitars (7 of them, I started in the early '70s on rhythm guitar), but I only have "by Guild" basses, 2 Madeiras, a Burnside, and 5 DeArmonds - 3 of which are Pilot Vs. Glad to see...
