    We have all the covers on, so was trying to get the ashtray thang going. Quit smoking in 1980; put all the covers back on the...no need for the ashtray off the axe. Palm mute is tough to do with bridge cover...especially on my Jazz!

    Think we have an XLS series also; still new in box 'till we get a new pre....I like the clean sounds, too....but I always have dug the bass trax on Janis Joplin records!...Wasn't that Fender Dual Showman on Patent Pending?

    Cool... To save us alot of trial and error...do you have any idea of an approx. size of the piece of foam you cut?...the thickness must depend on the density (did we spell that wright?)...surprised it does not move with a compression fit only...do you use a heavy string set?
