    3 Prong Power Extension

Thanks for the breakdown. If after more research it's the best option, then will persue it.

    3 Prong Power Extension

Interesting about the amp converter. Thanks. Not sure if that would impact anything given the change in amps though. Completely foreign territory to me. In the world of looking for something specific, I'm defintely "that guy" today.

    3 Prong Power Extension

Spacer is basically the purpose. I'm trying to connect to the "courtesy outlet" in my Voodoo Labs 2+, which is mounted under my pedaltrain jr. From there I'm going to use a wall outlet splitter to hook up my lights and Markbass Compressore. Trying to keep everything flush to the surface of the...

    3 Prong Power Extension

I'm looking for a 3 prong male to 3 prong female extension for my board. I don't need an extension cable, just the actual unit itself. A bit hard to articulate through words, so I've attached pictures of what I mean. Seems very difficult to describe what I'm looking for / search for it. No...

    Octave Pedals & Blowing Speakers

Thanks guys. The more I think about it, the more the Thumpinator sounds like a necessity. Came in for advice on one pedal, might be leaving with yet another one...

    Octave Pedals & Blowing Speakers

Thanks for your input guys. As expected, common sense and judgment prevails. I tend to play loud (as do we all...), but will have to make sure the octave downs aren't dialed in too much then. Just paranoid about doing speaker damage - don't want to spend a small fortune on new cabs!

    Octave Pedals & Blowing Speakers

Hey TB! I recently got the Earthquaker Devices Organizer pedal. I'm super excited to experiment with the pedal, but I have a concern regarding its impact on my speakers. By dialing in some of the -1 octave (and upto -2 at times), does this run a greater risk of blowing my cab's speakers...

Fender '08 American Standard - Playability Issues

Wow. 3mm is significantly lower than what I used to play too (had to be around 5mm or so before, if not more). I had no idea this would still be considered high by most players' standards. Looks like that's the first thing to address, then!

Fender '08 American Standard - Playability Issues

Just measured. This distance seems to be about 3mm. Would going down to 2mm or even 1mm make an appreciable difference? I didn't even realize this was a part of setting up! I'll definitely ask my (most recent) tech about that option too. Thanks a ton for the advice. If I can go even...

    Tech or Luthier in NJ

Thanks, I'll look into those places. While I'm *sure* I could figure out how to do basic truss rod and saddle adjustments, I'd be petrified to try on my Jazz to start. Though would definitely be a good skill to pick to make fine adjustments on my own. Do any of these people specialize in...

    Tech or Luthier in NJ

I'm looking for a bass tech or luthier in NJ for a set-up on my Fender American Standard Jazz. I've had multiple set-ups done at the traditional corporate shops throughout the years, and have been left wholly unsatisfied. Had some potential RSI issues in recent months, and am looking for a...

Fender '08 American Standard - Playability Issues

Thanks for the feedback. For reference, the TIs that I use now are incredibly low gauge. From E to G, they're: 89, 68, 51, 43

Fender '08 American Standard - Playability Issues

There isn't any particular fret that's more difficult than others to fret. While I can't name any particular basses/strings offhand that felt different (I almost exclusively play this bass), most others I've played on have been much more effortless in playing style. I guess a good way to...

Fender '08 American Standard - Playability Issues

Thank you for your advice and insight guys. Had it professionally set up in October, neck is pretty much dead straight. Unfortunately while the action has been reduced significantly during the set up with the TIs, no appreciable difference. I'm not as well versed on the more technical aspects...
