    Why do folks have multiple basses from the same maker?

    In my case, I own 7 Jazz basses of which 4 are vintage. 2 from the 60's & 2 from the early 70's. 1 fretless, 1 MIJ, and 1 Frankenstein!! I love 'em all and they all have a different sound. Leo got it right the first time around and no 2 ever sound the same to me.
