Just realized you were from Chicago. Sorry, I don't speak to Bears fans.

They are the only 'musicians' I know.

Problem is, my "band" isn't really interested in actually playing. I try to rally them, but they just don't love playing music enough. So all I can do for now is to learn new songs, and try to master them. Maybe someday I'll find some people to play with.

I play with the records, and for Fly By Night, with a rhythm guitarist.

I've been playing for a full year now, and the hardest songs I know to play without messing up is, Fly By Night- Rush, and I Wish - Stevie Wonder. Just wondering if I am ahead of the game, or behind it. And don't give me any of this, how far do you plan to go junk. I just want a straightforward...

Genre is mostly classic rock/blues. Bass is a Yamaha RBX 800a, and soon a Fender P-Bass. Want at least 50 watts, like a more warm rich sound, want a combo.

Oh no, Rock is certainly not dead. Its down, but not out. Soon, the revival of Rock will come, and Rock will rule music again.

What's the best bass amp for $500 or under?

Rehearsal didn't go so well, bandmates were distracted, didn't really seem motivated, but not a total failure. We thought up some new ideas, and were able to get China Grove down(except the guitar and vocals). Still in desperate need of a singer though.

Best new bass for under $500?

I don't know, I've never done a rehearsal or anything of the sort. I was just asking what to expect and how it SHOULD go. We're trying to be an original band, but writing original music is tough, so we just want a mix of covers and originals for now.

My band is going to have our first rehearsal in a few days, we've been practicing Doobie Brothers' China Grove, and our own 2 minute jig. Just wondering how rehearsals usually go, and what to plan for.

I guess 3 finger walking would be a better term. Thanks for the feedback.
