I am actually thinking about going with a ESP LTD B50. I have heard that these basses are great for beginners and they last and last. I have read a bunch of customer reviews, and all are great!!! One guy said that he had his for 5 years and he still uses it. It is at the top of my price range...

I found an Ibanez soundgear that a guy near me bought in the fall of o4, (i found it on craigslist.com), but he doesn't say much about it though, not even the specific kind of soundgear that it is. He is selling it for 125 with a guitar case, so i don't know??

Do you think this would be a good beginner bass?? (and don't say yes so that i will buy it)

Sorry, i don't like calling a bass a guitar either, because everyone plays guitar but only some people play bass. So, do most of u all suggest used??

Actually i had seen that website, but i was trying to find something that still had good quallity for a little bit cheaper. I actually am thinking about the ESP B50, and the SX BG-204 Owl along with the others that i mentioned, but does anybody know anything about the two basses that i mentioned...

Just so that every one knows i would not like to spend more than $200 on a bass unless it was a starter package.

I do have some near me, but i don't think i could exactly play any of the basses. I have never even held one before. Along with this being my first bass, this will be my first instrument. As with friends who play, i think i might have some friends who play the Guitar, but that is about it.
