    Hmm, still a bit more than I wanted to spend, and I wanted a separate head cab, but now that's really tempting. :). Maybe I'll wait a while and see if I can get an even better price from my Sweetwater rep. Thanks!

    Thanks, but what exactly do you have that's under 20 lbs? Everything I've read says they are ~27 lbs.

    After years of lurking, I just posted in the welcome area. Pro guitarist here, all styles. Dabble with bass, excellent reader only. So I do some bass work for music theater pits and orchestral pops concerts. Since those gigs don't require thundering bass, I've been using a MB Mini CMD12...

    PS - Also do electric bass for local orchestras when needed for pops concerts, etc. Ex, John Williams medley, holiday concerts, etc. In the middle of trying to change from a MB CMD 12 to an even smaller, lighter setup.
