replacement saddles for a Badass II?

I'm glad you liked the saddles GMOB! I do have and can sell the intonation and height screws as well. The complete machined Stainless Steel bridge package which includes the brass saddles is also a great upgrade. Darren

Aria & Aria Pro II Club (Part Three)

Does it seem the same volume acoustically as the other strings? Is it just one note, or all notes on the D string? It could be either a dead coil in the pickup, or a weak magnet set for that string. If you have an Ohm meter, check to make sure the neck and bridge pickups read roughly...

It looks as though the SB BnG I and II had nothing written on the truss rod cover.

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] with the SB BnG. (Looks like the specs for the I and II are reversed though).

As would I. I think you nailed it Eric. So it's simply (or not) a "SB Black'n' Gold-II". I wonder what it said (if anything) on the brass truss rod cover? Could this be a rare model? Thanks Guys. This one still has the MB-II pickups.

Aria & Aria Pro II Club (Part Three)

You might be right Eric. However, look at the pics here. Looks like a SB-R80, but it has a brass control cavity cover (mine is black plastic), and the bridge is not painted black, whereas mine is. Nice sound on your project bass, and nice solo in the vid ;) Anyway, there are so many slight...

Aria & Aria Pro II Club (Part Three)

Surely mine is not the only SB-900 that had failed pickups. I wonder what other folks have done to re-pickup this wonderful bass?

Aria & Aria Pro II Club (Part Three)

Here are some photos of my 1984 SB-900: Also forgot to mention, one of the tone control pots was turning endlessly. I could not find a replacement pot so I took the original apart and repaired it. It was quite a mangled mess inside, but I managed to get it working very well. Looking forward to...

Aria & Aria Pro II Club (Part Three)

How timely for me to find this thread. I recently found a SB-900 for sale in Kijiji. I got the bass for $160. It's not in the greatest shape, and the truss rod cover is missing. However, the worst of it all is that of the 4 coils in both pickups, only one was working, so only two strings are...

    Badass II bridge saddles

Gerry, No worries. There is nothing wrong with Fender or "other" stock bridges, it just comes down to personal preference. After all, there are probably many more stock bridges on Fender basses out there than any other model of bridge. They work, and work fine.

    Badass II bridge saddles

Personally, I like blank saddles so that the spacing can be made very precisely. The Badass bridges are manufactured both with and without slotted saddles.

    Badass II bridge saddles

Somebody thinks there is a difference. No one can keep the BA bridges in stock, and some pretty hefty players insist on them; Geddy Lee, and Marcus Miller just to mention a couple.
