NS-1 ‘s truss rod covers were made out of ebony. No Spector logo. It would be very easy to make a replacement. Here is a shot of one of my NS-1 original covers. Hope this helps!

Don't be fooled by the NS-2 from Japan. It is not a legit '83 NS-2. PJ Rubal and I had a long conversation about this today. Too many issues definitely pointing out it is not real. Feel free to PM me or PJ if you have any questions about it's legitimacy.

This is a NS-2o. They were the Spector Forte of the times. Oil finish, dot inlays and a Korean version of the HAZ preamp. These are great basses.
