I just wired some SB1 pickups straight to the output jack. I'm wondering what will happen if the green/white (they get soldered together, as shown in official G&L diagram) wire ends touch something?

First off, I do not care about tone. I just want a really low string height with no buzz. I play hard with fingers and pick. I know a good set up is important, but I also know some strings can go lower than others. So what strings are best for low action?

Yeah I just googled that, and you're totally right! It had a really good tone, which surprised me because I thought a shortie with those pups would sound really muddy.
