Marcus Miller Sire M6 Headless bass -- am I the only one?

At least outside of home it makes put it back in the case or gig bag all the time, that's the best thing to avoid disasters. Otherwise at home you can have stands small stands like this E-guitar stand »Heli 2« if you don't want to put back in the rack all the time. I have a Honner Custom Jack...

EBS MicroBass 3 - putting it back together

I tried to open it when I got it when it came out, because EBS pedals often have switches inside, and curious about that tuner always on, which I don't think made sense but I had to see ... I realised that some flat cable were resisting weirdly, so I gave up, too afraid to break something, and...

Did Jaco ever play with Miles Davis?

I was in a end of show backstage in a little room after a show of Mike Stern, Dennis Chambers and Bill Evans, I was sort of petrified. I am happy to have just been there

Fender T wrench is a bad tool.

I have seen that done in a stewmac video. For now I will let it like that and get at it a bit later, because I thin spent way to much time already, watching many videos to understand how trussrod works to not do stupid things, even looking to get shims, trussrod washer and all, I feel like...

Fender Precision Professional II neck & truss rod weirdness

I had that issue with an American Pro 2 fretless jazzbass, were it appeared that the trussrod was maxed out, but I sorted the issue by using an angled wrench instead of the T wrench. It might sound like the highway to disaster, but it's like the trussrod they use on this models is stiffer than...

Fender T wrench is a bad tool.

Yes of course, I turned the trussrod with a key of the Bondhus multiset I bought a few years ago because Fender gives nothing for the bridge screws L-Wrench Multi Packs I noticed that they have T wrenches to T-Handles Ball Ends Anyway I lack the tools to bend or saw at the moment, but I have...

Fender T wrench is a bad tool.

    3/16 doesn't grow on European trees ^^

Fender T wrench is a bad tool.

I though about it, but thinking the nut was at fault, I bought another one, and this didn't change the trussrod behaviour. So if there is some grip it might be on the trussrod itself, not the nut You just gave me the idea of trying to make one out of one of the 3 Fender T wrench I have.

    Tony Franklin Signature Bass Club

yes I have a Vantage 330bI have a PJ fretless I have a bass with a balance between neck and bridge pickups, but it's an active bass. This makes more sense than volume volume, but I rather have volume volume than just 3 position switch. By the way if it was possible to mod that switch into a...

    Tony Franklin Signature Bass Club

Anyone removed the selector for a volume for each pickup ?

    Fretless - should I?

I maybe would have went for it if it didn't have that pickup selector. I didn't think I needed an all around bass, which a PJ precission is good for, but more something to have fun soloing at home first, so the american pro 2 jazz bass was fitting. I let my 25 year old vantage unlined fretless...

    Fretless - should I?

Me too, I rarely play in setup were there is not too much volume from drums or guitar distortion, if not keyboard that play in bass range and creates werid sound wobbling, were even on a fretted I wonder sometime if the bass didn't sundenly detuned. At home with some chorus and a bit of reverb...

    Fretless - should I?

To me it's equivalent to a guitar player having an acoustic guitar, an electro acoustic guitar, a stratocaster, a telecaster, a gibson. So yeah we have a 4 string jazz bass, a 4 string precision, a 5 string more modern bass, and we are lucky to not have to go double bass by only going to a...

    Fretless - should I?

In US fender models there seems not be only american pro 2 jazz bass fretless, which I got, and the tony franklin signature precision that I wished it didn't have a mic selector only. There is no regular fretless precision like the one you have, although I would say that for a fretless I would...

    Fretless - should I?

Yes you should, don't feel guilty about it.
