Getting Rid of This Blue Thorn in my Side

Well I didn't make this thread as a commentary on my grandmother, as I don't see why it matters my now non-existent relationship with someone who my life is now better without, but I'd say assumption number two is more on point. Not every grandmother is a sweet, cookie-making angel. I think I...

Getting Rid of This Blue Thorn in my Side

How so? This sounds like a good idea. Also I've tried giving this thing away so many times. No one wanted to take it. I even managed to get rid of it once. and guess what? IT CAME BACK. THREE MONTHS LATER. This thing is following me.

Getting Rid of This Blue Thorn in my Side

Trust me, this gift was in no way well intended. I had to pay her back for this guitar, twice over. You have to know my grandmother, but she doesn't give anything. She gets stuff and makes you pay for it, whether you want to or not.

Getting Rid of This Blue Thorn in my Side

So I have this guitar I want to get rid of so badly. It was bought by an unknowing grandmother who thought I could just learn "Two more strings" and play the guitar. Because that's totally how bass works. Being that it's a student guitar, it's cheaply made, and small. I have massive hands, to...

    Pinkie strength and Power Chords

Thank you for your very detailed response! I'll be sure to try these exercises. I had a question though, on hand posture. Below is a photo of my hand in the position I use and have been taught to use when playing bass (Upright Bass, mind you) http://imgur.com/4WGPRY8 Now, not knowing any...

    Pinkie strength and Power Chords

I've come to the conclusion that it's due to my switch from upright to guitar. I'm playing with correct technique, for the upright.... Usually the only pain I had was more fatigue than anything, but since switching to guitar, I've had a lot of problems. The thing is, I joined my new school's...

    Pinkie strength and Power Chords

Thanks, I'll try this. I admit, I'm usually without a bass, as I don't technically have one. I'm originally a Double Bass player, but have begun playing Bass Guitar as of last year. I'd say 85% of the time I'm nowhere near a bass, and haven't played Double Bass in over a year. I would say my...

    Pinkie strength and Power Chords

Hey there. So one of my preferred techniques when it comes to bass, part of my "Sound", is my tendency to play power chords (Diads, as I originally knew them) by finger picking. I love the way it sounds and It makes it easier to write songs with my bass. The problem I'm having is the strength...

    How Burrito are You???

This thread reminds me off a story I heard about kiss and their utilization of burritos to hide their infidelity during tours. My burrito far surpasses any of yours. A whole 73 burrito.
