You probably have this figured out by now. But I play with a cl micro Ampeg head 10watt into a 4x10HE 1985 cabinet just enough to feel it. IEM do the rest. I also DI bass to FOH at home I have a 2x10 cabinet and just carry the head works great for me.

I play a Warwick Corvette 5 string, I use Rotosound RS665LD Roundwound 5-String Bass Strings and they sound great. Gauges 45-65-80-105-130. Stainless steel roundwounds

Thanks JimmyM: Did that (cleaning the effects loops Jacks) this morning 24th and it has been non stop sound. Also when I play live I am wireless so I mic cab and use a DI box and mix both sounds. The cable I use from the DI to amp input had a cold solder joint that I also found this morning...
