I tend to fall into the 100% camp most of the time too. not playing anything that demands versatility, just that coming from primarily p basses was kind of expecting a bit more could be done by say, having the fullness of the neck pickup and just gradually blending in a little bridge clarity...

I recently picked up a nearly new Fender Player JB and can't seem to dial in any sort of balance of pickups. I kind of expected that with 2 separate volume controls, I'd be able to dial in something like a 100% neck, 50% (or other) bridge balance. Seems like the only sounds I can get are both...
