Yes, A.D. asked me to include the skunk stripe in order to resemble the original, which was a one-piece neck. But as you pointed out, I install my truss rods from the front, then attach the fretboard.

Billy called Billy called his original P bass "The Wife", because he spent so much time with it......her.......hence the heavy modifications and real-life wear and tear on that instrument. A.D. asked me about "distressing" this instrument, but I'm leaving that up to him to do on the road!!!

Jay, thanks for the kind words, and for your questions. The carbon graphite bars that I use are 1/4" x 3/8". They are strong, indeed. My necks are super stable as a result. The square is a little trick that I use to keep the radius work even and level with the eventual neck centerline/profile...

Once I had the spray booth in service, we got the body and neck sprayed and then were ready for wet sanding, buffing and polishing.
