I'm a novice on bass, but I've played guitar for over 35 years and currently own 37 guitars. About half of these are Strats, but I've been favoring a goldtop Les Paul Classic 1960 reissue and a goldtop Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 with a Carr Skylark or Mesa Boogie Subway Blues amp. At the top of the pedal heap are a Keeley compressor, Xotic EP Booster, Fulltone Fulldrive 2, Budda wah, and MXR Carbon Copy delay.

- Current Setup
- I'm playing an Ibanez Prestige SR-1000 (flame maple) through an old Peavey Minx with a Keeley Bassist compressor and Voodoo Lab Tremolo. Sometimes I use a Phil Jones BigHead with Phil Jones H-850 headphones.
I'm experimenting with a Pigtronix Bass Envelope Phaser and an MXR Bass Envelope Filter, but I'm not happy with either unless I'm hitting the strings a lot harder than I want to.
I also have an SR-500 and a Charvel Surfcaster acoustic bass.
