ive been staring at some of the spector basses in the holoflash color .... that paintjob is pretty amazing i might splurge the extra cash just to own that bass with that paintjob lol how are the legend series, im sure the quality is going to be better with these spectors than anything...

from that clip im not too sure i dig the fretless sound i think il go with a reg bass with frets looking into that spector performance 4 string .... is that what they usually go for used ot can i prob find one cheaper ???

i knoe steve digiorgio used to play fretless bass ... and he was in a bunch of pretty rediculous metal bands is a fretted bass sound a little more aggressive than fretless ??

i found a cool fender mim jazz that someone had turned into a fretless ... i was curious to know if someone modding the guitar like that would make it go for less what are some advantages to having a fretless bass ???

how are the low end spector basses ... ive looked into all my options and these prob seem like the most solid for the 200$ mark

i pm'd the dude with the peavey but i had no response in 3 days so i guess i can forget that ... how are the peavey millenium models ??? the ones with the "fake" quilted tops and nice see thru paintjobs

yea harris is a beast, but to me maidens bass sound isnt what i need ... how bout a p/j pickup set in a bass best of both worlds ?? heres pretty much what im after ... and this music is more or less my style of guitar playing

been playing guitar for like 15 years now and honestly your right id probably never own a fender anything, guitar or bass ... i just dont feel their QC is there at all unless your talking about their overpriced custom shop stuff ... have seen some of the worst finish and fretjobs on a ton of usa...

i know it doesnt really make a difference at all but i play metal mostly so the slap/pop funk tone isnt in my main intrest im looking for that bulldozer bass type of sound, if any of you know what i mean by that lol ...... for example listen to unearth - my will be done, i love the bass mix...

i dont think i could ever bring myself to own any type of squier seriously though ive seen a bunch of LTD 200 series basses with passive emg hz's for around 200 bucks does anybody have any love for esp over here

whats the difference in the pbass to a jazz bass??? from my time with both it seems as if the jazz bass is a bit punchier

im an esp guy so im familiar with some of the lower end ltd stuff ... i might be set on getting one of them but i just have to find the right one for the right price i do think those ltd basses play awesome for what they charge for them

is that like the paul mccartney bass, im not a huge fan on the looks of those whats so difficult with recording active vs passive pickups ??? maybe i should just stick with passive ??
