Just makes it easier for me to get the action as low as I want it. The owner before me used it for years and loved it without a shim. Lakland told me they occasionally shim basses. It’s easily removable, super thin and invisible. I mentioned it in the interest of full disclosure. I may remove it...

2018 Lakland USA JOE Osborn in pristine condition. Very rare as bass was built with three control knobs and Sadowsky single coil pickups. Thinning the herd but very hard to let this go as they RARELY come up for sale. Bass looks and plays and sounds amazing. Beautiful finish and amazing Lakland...
