This started life as a black Jag. Stripped it back. Repainted it. Made a pearl pickguard. EMG pickups. Gotoh bridge and tuners. Finished it about twenty minutes ago. No idea how it sounds yet but I think itlooks pretty nice.

I use custom moulded 15db earplugs. Since I started using them I actually feel I hear the bass better.

We have the bass and kick drum taking up the low frequencies. Everything else has the lows rolled off. Works for us.

I took up bass at the tender age of 47. Now 52. In a great band. Gigging most weekends. The love of my life. My ONLY regret in life (yep life has treated me well) is not taking it up as a teenager. You're never too old.

Thanks. I'm also in Oz. bass cost me a bit over $300 and yeah the tuners are half the value of the bass. I really enjoy playing this bass. Will ptobably pull the trigger on those tuners and a bridge.
