I shopped around a while but realized I had a Skunk travel bag that worked perfectly. It is a ~3”x4” zippered pouch with a mesh net pocket inside the main chamber. It was not intended for IEMs - Skunk bags are designed to keep smells in so you can guess what that means it is for - but it works...

I ended up putting on a set of La Bella low tension flats medium scale. They fit perfectly and I love them. The factory rounds sounded great but I just love the smoothness of flats.

Ball end to tuner I have: E 41.5" A 39.75" D 37.75" G 36" Most long stale should work perfectly on A, A and D. G is a bit shorter but isn't wound like the others so I should be ok. I'm planning round wounds on this one.

They both look good. Classy bass! Question - are you able to use standard long scale strings? Since it has a reverse headstock, only the G string puts any wound length on the tuner and that doesn't matter so much on the G.

So which pickguard did it come with and which one you rocking?

Just stunning! Looks like the same set up as mine. I love it! I have several basses and loved picking up something so non-fender shaped. The neck surprised me - it is really fun to play and smooth as can be. I’m encouraged to play a bit different and I like that. I haven’t known about Kauer...

Awesome! Yeah I wasn’t really in the market for a bass - especially a pricey boutique build but I heard about Kauer a few months ago and had my eye on them. That bass popped up and I fell in love with it. It is perfect for me!

Well that makes it a lot easier… yeah the D is 37.75 so it would just be the G.

It is so cool and those pickups are killer. How’d you get to feel and hear it? I took a gamble buying it without playing it but that paid off.
