I looked them up and turns out I already "liked" their Facebook page. There's so many good boutique pedals out there now, it's added to the list.

I had an original OD-1 back in the day, which I loved.

Just an update now I am back on 2 feet. I'm still loving the Southampton Fifth Gear, but with the heat and gain at their lowest levels, I am getting a volume drop, so am using it as an effect (with heat and gain wound up) when I am looking for something a bit more aggressive. The Pork Loin is...

I've been having a bit more of a play and the Southampton Fifth Gear is exactly what I was looking for. My other drives are effects, the Fifth Gear will be an almost always on. Just have to learn how to stomp again!

Sorry I haven't come back to this, but I broke my foot and staying upright has been a struggle enough without stomping. Loving the Fifth Gear and Pork Loin (not bad for a Vegan) and can't wait to be fit enough to mess with them in a full rehearsal.

Best bass mod ever for you?

Another shout for the Hipshot Bass Xtender. My 1992 Musicman Stingray which I have owned from new is irreplaceable (to me) and is part of my sound and look. I've never got on with 5 strings and people I play with expect me to have my Musicman. One band the songs are written by a pianist an...

Yes, I read that elsewhere about the Barbershop and the one thing I cannot negotiate on in my setup is my 1992 Stingray. I picked up a second hand Way Huge Pork Loin for £75 this evening, they're a lot more expensive in the UK than the USA and Canada. Bearing in mind I've also got a Fifth Gear...

There's a lot of pedals I would like to try since starting this thread. The COG pedals too.

Not many around second hand over here, but it's not an expensive pedal. Even the name of it sounds right.

The advice and recommendations are much appreciated. Thanks to the intervention of someone on here, a Southampton Fifth Gear will be flying over from Australia. It's not a pedal which can easily be sourced in the UK. Also, I have somehow acquired a Base Blogger, which I know is not...

It's multiple effects and clean - also the growl from the PF-500 isn't what I am looking for here. If I am not careful, I will end up trying to find space on my board for another 2 or 3 pedals.

They're an hours drive from me! Looking at their pedals now, thank you. I'm still erring towards the Broughton, Fifth Gear and Pork Loin. The only way I am going to know for sure is try it (or them).

I've already answered this and it's also pretty much covered in my opening post.

I get that and I have tried it and it's not what I am looking for. I had a Marshall Jubilee head back in the day which was ideal and I've used SVT heads many times which are close. Also, it doesn't cater for the times I want a clean sound in the same session.
