To open a can of worms... How resonant do you think most modern basses are with that think coat of poly and potted pickups are?

Rotosounds, Low action, strike close to the bridge and play the notes like you mean it. I like to use Dunlop Tortex .88's for pick style, works good for digging in and a sharp attack
