    How do you keep your active bass from going dead in the middle of a set?

    I made a stomp box that provides power to the onboard preamp via a TRS cable. I short the battery terminals in the bass using a battery clip. I did this when I upgraded the onboard preamp. This approach allowed me to send 18V to the preamp and attaining increased headroom.
