I really want to get a Stingray, but this thread has me terrified! One thing that does bother me is the string alignment over the pole pieces. A great many Rays I've seen have poor alignment of string and pole piece. Seems there is no consensus over whether this contributes to the possible...

What year was this special run? I may need to keep an eye out on the used market.

That is effecticely my dream bass. Daphne Blue Jazz with a matching headstock and a rosewood board. I think a reddish brown tort pickguard would be my choice, but I love the way yours looks too! Wouldn't mind a Strat with that color scheme either! Such a beautiful instrument...

So. I was searching for information on tuner upgrades for my Dano 63 long scale that I've had for ~11 years. I remembered Danguitars.com mentioning a specific Gotoh tuner as a drop-in replacement for the stock guitar tuners on these basses, but it looks like they overhauled their website, and...
