Chris, I guess I'm in the latter mode as well...Not looking to join a band or play in public. Just want to eventually be able to play along with my favorite music. (Beatles, Pink Floyd, Air, etc...) Going to dive into the TalkingBass lessons & learn my way around the fretboard. Pete
