Currently just trying to memorize chord tones and just mess around creating bass lines. came across this backing track. Honestly just roots, fifths, and there intervals are sounding decent to me. but that may be just due to lack of experience.

thanks for the reply. The only minor chord in the progression is Am. the C & G are major. I tried using the Eb & Bb just doesnt sound right. Maybe its just me.

Creating a bass line for a backing track with an Am, C, G chord progression. Cant seem to make the E chord tone in the C chord or the B chord tone in the G chord work within the bassline. I'm sure its not a hard rule, and not every chord tone will suit a bassline. Just curious as to why these...
