i got it about 3 years ago. Had a P-Bass before but the neck was a little too big for me. This has a lot better feel. Got Ernie Ball strings on it now. Those are the original strings in the orange box. Even have the key for the case lock.

I know '53 was the first year they were made but I've always wondered how early was mine. Anyone know where the serial number 3 2466 would fall in the production for the year?

I mentioned my EB-1 all original except for the pickguard. I was able to find a template for it (still have it if anyone needs it) and got a pretty good replicate made but it's not the same original Bakelite. There's actually one on auction on Ebay right now I'd almost consider getting just to...
